Font color will not affect the alphabetic sorting of a list. Color, whether it be font or background, is a Format only and does not affect the underlying value of the data in cells. My Excel spreadsheet, which is a list of names and addresses, uses several different colors of font (as a code), and suddenly will not "sort" using Data - Sort by - Then by (as it always has done with no problem.) Does font color affect the ability to sort by alphabet in a chosen column? |
