Default Pivot table row labels

I have a simple pivot table with two filter criteria at the top and then two
fields of information to be displayed in the rows below once a user has
selected the criteria at the top. I have it all working but have two more
visual problems:
1. The filter criteria at the top display the field names to the left of the
drop down selection cell and I just want the selected values to show at the
top in the middle of the pivot table preferably.
2.the first value I select on the row level has "Row Label" as the header at
the top is there a way I can force it to use the custom field name versus
"Row label" ?
3. I want the second value to be in the next column from the first field
however the format keeps putting it below the first value in the row
section...is there a way to make it move to the next column and line up on
the same row as the first value?

any help will be great.
thanks
