Excel Copy & Paste Issue ??
Hi,
When copying and pasting from a particular site in question - for whatever reason it will not copy the color. Is there anyway to keep the original color ? The link is https://miseojeu.lotoquebec.com/en/r...mplete-results Then: 1. Press on "complete results" on the left hand side. 2. Select sport "hockey" 3. Select sub-category "National" 4. Below that - select sub-category "Matches" 5. Choose time period "January 19, 2013" Ok.... results will come up. As you can see there "green" in certain boxes. When copy and pasting - I cannot find a way of keeping the "green". Any help would be much appreciated. |

Excel Copy & Paste Issue ??
What you're copying is html text. The formatting is most likely defined
in a CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) attached to the page. What I did is create my own layout/design and just type the results in manually. The project knows what the draw days are for each game it tracks and so I just click the 'Add Draw' button and it positions me at the first number to enter, with the next draw date already filled in. If you don't want to type numbers manually then format your sheet however you like and just 'Paste Values'! However, I suspect all results end up in a single sell. I prefer to give them each their own cell so I can analyse frequency/combinations easier. -- Garry Free usenet access at http://www.eternal-september.org Classic VB Users Regroup! comp.lang.basic.visual.misc microsoft.public.vb.general.discussion |

You are correct - "paste values" does not work. It isn't because they data goes into one cell. In fact, the data is fine - the issue is the color doesn't carry over. As for your suggestion... sorry - you lost me completely. |

I appreciate your reply. You are correct - "paste values" does not
work. It isn't because they data goes into one cell. In fact, the data is fine - the issue is the color doesn't carry over. Past Values does exactly that! It does not paste formating/formulas. So if it pastes the data fine then it does indeed work because that's all it's supposed to paste! As for your suggestion... sorry - you lost me completely. Using Paste Values lets you design the target sheet with your desired formatting. Since Paste Values only pastes values, your target sheet will remain however formatted after the values get pasted. IOW, design the color into your target sheet.<g -- Garry Free usenet access at http://www.eternal-september.org Classic VB Users Regroup! comp.lang.basic.visual.misc microsoft.public.vb.general.discussion |
