All of a sudden, when I try to copy a cell, no formulas get put into the buffer; only values. The second I hit Copy or Ctrl-C, the hash/highlight on the cell no longer appears. Also, the Paste Special options are much different, in that a different dialog comes up without the typical list. It is now a large text area with Unicode Text and and Text as the only two options.

This IS NOT an issue with Manual calculations being turned on.
This IS NOT an issue with the Format of the cells being something like Text.

I have rebooted, restarted, and even opened old files that never had this issue.

So, I assume some setting has been updated without me knowing.

The version is Excel 2007, and the OS is Win 7.

Any help that avoids reinstalling Excel would be much appreciated.
