Default Lost macros after re-installation

User has to have 2 versions of Office on her pc. Office 97 and 2003.

she accidentally recieved 2007 and had to have that removed, and
re-installed the versions she needed .. now when she opens Excel. she gets a
message that the file opening is incompatible format and then shows machine
garbage.. this is referring to her Personal .xls file

If she opens a saved file that used these macros...there is no macro list
available under tools.

are these gone?

2007 Office.. saved file.. renamed and copied to user's pc with 2003 Office
