Go to the below link to see Microsoft's explanation of the clipboard. Most
likely, someone unchecked the options to show the clipboard (See "Control how
the Office Clipboard is displayed" section).

( we had windows XP) I was able to show the office clipboard on the right
hand side of either a word doc or excel spreadsheet and collect multiple
items but on this system I can't even show the office clipboard. I can cut
and paste but 1 at a time but can't see what I am pasting as I don't have a
view of the clipboard.
