I have a question for anone on excel that I was hoping
someone would be able to help me with. Typically when you want to add up a column of numbers you would use the "sum" function. However, say for instance you used the 'conditional formatting' function where some of the numbers may either be bold or a different color. Is there any function that will add up a column of numbers depending on their formatting? Say for instance I wanted to add up all the bold numbers separate from the rest of the numbers. As it stands right now, the only way I know how to do it is to hard code a sum function with the different formatted numbers. I would like to make this an automatic function. Perhaps you can use an "IF" statement somehow? |
