Default can a revision # be updated across multiple worksheets in the head

i have a excel file with up to 12 worksheet tabs, its a controlled doc used
to update current software revisions used by qc for verifying sw in
cellphones. the worksheets are separated by different carriers, (cingular,
verizon, t-mobile) and so on. i'm using the header for our iso9002 controlled
doc information. for every revision i have to update the rev # in each
worksheet header.
my question is, can i have one header that is used by every worksheet? or
can i set up a increment numbering in the header for each time the doc is
saved?
Thanks for any help supplied,
David Turner
