Default I'm a leaner wiht a headache!!

Vicky to assist in giving you the correct solution more info is required from
you:
e.g. what is the "layout" of your data? (column headings, number of rows used)
You may well be looking for a SUMPRODUCT formula but clearly any formula
needs to refer to cells and without knowing the layout nobody can really
develop a formula for you.

Default I'm a leaner wiht a headache!!

Gary thought that the project was a bit more complicated

Toll charges Price
car £1.50
lorry £3.50
motor bike £0.00

say the list of charges is in cells B1 to C4.

Day cars lorries motor bikes total raised
Mon 345 250 327 £517.50
Tues 400 220 150 £600.00
Weds 467 565 466 £700.50
Thurs 222 177 202 £333.00
Fri 872 439 189 £1,308.00
Total £3,459.00

The following is in B6 to F12

the formula for F7 is:
=C7*$C$2+D78*$C$3+E7*$C$4

The $ signs in the range address $C$2 fix the cell so that when it is copied
it reamins the same. The cell C7 will change to C8 when it is copied down.

Select the cell F6 and move the mouse over the the bottom right of the cell
until the cursor changes to a + sign; hold down the left mouse button and
drag down to F11. This will copy the formula down.

If this method is difficult here is another way.
Select F6.
Press CTRL + C (Hold down Ctrl while pressing C) you will see the cell
surounded by 'marching ants'.
Select F7 to F11 (Select F7 hold shift and keep pressing the down arrow)
Press enter

Your formulas will be entered.

The total
In E12 type Total
In F12 type or copy the the formula
=SUM(F7:F11)

Hope this helps.
Good luck

Ps you can type numbers in the UK! If you do not have a number pad use the
numbers over the qwerty keyboard.
