I'm a leaner wiht a headache!!
The formula depends on the structure of your table. Here is a very simple
example using Cells A1 thru D15: Monday car $1.00 559 Monday truck $5.00 326 Monday pogo $0.50 266 Tuesday car $1.00 491 Tuesday truck $5.00 200 Tuesday pogo $0.50 494 Wednes car $1.00 378 Wednes truck $5.00 280 Wednes pogo $0.50 577 Thursday car $1.00 515 Thursday truck $5.00 435 Thursday pogo $0.50 404 Friday car $1.00 196 Friday truck $5.00 154 Friday pogo $0.50 379 This flexible structure allows different tolls on different days. For the Monday total: =SUMPRODUCT((A1:A15="Monday")*(C1:C15)*(D1:D15)) will display 2322 Similar for the other days. -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200903 "Thicky Vicky!!! :O(" wrote: Ok,i have a spreadsheet with toll bridge charges for mon - fri and costs on cars, trucks & motor bikes, plus the number of vehicles been through the toll each day......i have to calculate with one formula the daily amount taken in money...starting with monday then being able to drag this down through every day to fri.............................My brain has imploded!!!......i've been sat here for hours trying to do the formula and just can't get it right!!!!................please help as i feel i am just as thick as a plank of wood, and i know it is really simple!!! :O( |
