Why is there no Freeze Panes option in the Windows drop-down box?
My colleague has no Freeze Panes in his Windows drop-down box. He has
forwarded the same spreadsheet to me, and I do have the Freeze Panes option when I open the document. (Excel 2003 SP3 on Windows XP). Thx. |

Your colleague may have modified his toolbar (maybe by accident, too).
He can reset that toolbar via: Tools|Customize|Toolbars tab Select Worksheet Menu Bar and click Reset Any other customized changes to that toolbar will need to be redone, though. No entry at all or just grayed out?
If no entry at all...........ToolsCustomizeToolbars Scroll down to Worksheet MenuBar and "reset" Note: this will destroy any customizations of that Toolbar and reset to default. Alternate route. ToolsCustomizeCommandsTools Drag "Freeze Panes" up to Window dropdown box.
