Default Freeze Pane option in Vista

How do I access the freeze page option as it is there but not highlighted
therefore wwhen I click on it nothing happens.

Do you mean Excel 2007-View portion of the Ribbon?

It should be available unless you are in Edit mode. Press ESC key and then
try...

Default Freeze Pane option in Vista

I gave you the correct answer in the New Users section where you
cross-posted. It's best to ask the question just once in a day. Check there
and see if that answers your question.
