Default how to find gaps in the hours scheduled to ensure shift coverage

I would like to find gaps in the hours scheduled to ensure that all shifts
are covered and there are employees covering all the hours worked in a given
day - is there a formula, chart, etc. that would allow me to see it instead
of going through manually over each day when scheduling the employee.
