Trouble Freezing Panes in Excel 2003
Hi!
I recently upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003. I just discovered a problem in freezing rows in Excel in 2003. I never had a problem with this in 2000. Here's what's happeining. I have different headers for several columns. I want to freeze the headers so as I move down the page I can see them. I select the row all the way across under the headers. Then I go to "windows" and click on "freeze panes" But instead of the headers being frozen, the frozen part starts several rows below the headers AND the first two columns are also frozen. Why is it doing this? Also... The first time I tried to freeze the headers, I started on the first cell below the first header and dragged to the last cell below the last header to select the row below the headers. When I clicked "freeze panes" then, the first two columns disappeared entirely... I couldn't scroll to them! So I undid that and then I tried going to the last cell under the last column I wanted to freeze and dragged back to the first cell, then clicked "freeze panes" then I didn't lose any columns, but got what I described above. Why is my 2003 excel acting weird? Or am I acting weird? lol. Please help me! Thanks!! |
