Default Shared workbook errors with one user

I have a shared workbook which resides on our network. Everyone works
in it fine except one user who had been working fine until yesterday.
Now when she opens it, it starts to open, asks her if she wants to
enable macros (yes) and then asks if she wants the links (yes or no
has same outcome). Once she clicks yes or no to the links question
then the hourglass just sits and you end up with "not responding" in
the task manager. I work fine on her machine and open it fine. I
deleted her user profile and that did not help. I had her log on
another computer and that did not help. I checked her permissions to
the file/folder and all are fine. In the workbook I do see her name
still listed as "Who has the workbook still open". Manual removing
does not help. It reappears on next attempt. Every once in a while
she gets an mso9.dll error but not all the time. I have never
received it on the same machine. And again she has used other
machines with no luck. Since several machine do this I ruled out a
registry problem, profile problem, toolbar problem, etc. Other
workbooks she opens work just fine. It seems to be this one
particular workbook. I do not see any oddities in it. Any ideas?
Thanks for any help. This is excel 2000 on an XP SP 2 pc.
