Default form code applied to sheet

Hello,
I created "comboBox,labels, textBoxes" in an excel spreadsheet.
From one of the textBoxes, I input spreadsheet column width, so when I run
the code from vb, the columns get smaller and the nice looking boxes'format
get messed up.

Is there a way to keep the format of the boxes the same after changing the
column width?
If that's not possible, How can I use a form in vb, create all the button I
want in there and apply that to the spreadsheet which is going to be separate
from the buttons in the form?

Your help is much appreciated,
Dave
