I want to protect cells which auto populate via VLOOKUP, please can someone

I presume you don't want a programming answer even though you are in a programming group? Protection in Excel is a two-part operation 1) Highlight all the cells you want entry in and select FormatCells...Protection tab and de-select 'Locked' 2) Protect the sheet (ToolsProtectionProtect sheet...) enter a password if desired You will now be able to change the cells un-locked in step 1 and not any other. In versions of Excel 2002 (XP) up, you can also set various things that can and can't be done to protected cells.
