Default How to write a macro to open a file read-only?

I stand corrected guys.
There are some interesting issues here though: The application protects, or
not, a file against multiuser conflicts. The operating system does, or does
not, a similar thing. If the default behavior is not what we want then we
should know what happens and write code for it.

Besst wishes Harald
