Your basing your judgement on the fact that the cell appears empty but has a
value in it?

Look at the formatting of the cell. Is it

;;;

if the cells contain zero, look in tools=Options =view and make sure the
Zero Values checkbox is checked.

I have a routine that checks for font which is the same
