Can't Change Font Colour
I have a routine that checks for font which is the same
colour as the cell Interior colour. The routine overlooked a range of cells which look like they have white font in them. When I go to the cell and look and try to change its font colour to black, nothing happens. then when I go to Format\Cell\Font the cell colour registers as black. However its clearly not. The cell itself is white with no apparent font colour other than white. Does anyone know what is going on here? Thanks |

Ok here is my contribution to the NewsGroups today. I
checked to see if the cell had conditinal formatting. It didn't. Then I checked the number format. The range had a format that looks like this: ;;; This formats the cell to look like its empty when in fact it has values in it. Sneeky Buggers! Gotcha! Does the range have a conditional format applied (Format/Conditional
format...)? In article , "ExcelMonkey" wrote: I have a routine that checks for font which is the same colour as the cell Interior colour. Your basing your judgement on the fact that the cell appears empty but has a
value in it? Look at the formatting of the cell. Is it ;;; if the cells contain zero, look in tools=Options =view and make sure the Zero Values checkbox is checked. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "ExcelMonkey" wrote in message ...
