Default Run-time error 429 after installing Office XP SP-3

We recently installed Office XP SP3, and since that
installation some VBA in an Excel document that used to
work fine now gives us a Run-time error '429': ActiveX
component can't create object.

Does anyone know why SP3 might be causing this error, and
what we should do to fix it?

Thanks!
