Default A Word Problem...

Sorry to post this here, but I can't find a forum for Microsoft Word. And besides, maybe someone here knows the answer to my little problem or at least guide me to a Word forum where I can ask this ::-

The problem I`m dealing with, is that I have an MSWord document from a previous version, 2000 i guess and now I use word 2003. And my little issue is that MsWord 2003 corrects the text in that document and I hate it!!!! It deletes text, makes underlines, and lots of notations in the right side of the document! It is very anoying!!!! I have searched the options for about an hour and didn't find anything that could help me. It sux! I hate it ::-). It screws up my entire document with his annoyng useless notations. Anybody knows how to correct this? Please????

Thank you a lot in advance.

Hi,

Try "Tools/Auto Correct Options" and check/uncheck the
options you want or don't want.

Then goto "Tools/Options" and click the "Spelling &
Grammar" options and do the same.

I'm not sure whether you mean you hate the corrections
only for the Word 2000 document you have, or for Word
2003 in general.

Mind you, if there are errors in that document, perhaps
they need correcting? Just a thought.... :)

The Word newsgroups are further down the list on the
left, under "Word".

eg, Word.Spelling.Grammar is

http://communities.microsoft.com/new...messageList.as
p?
ICP=MSCOM&sLCID=US&NewsGroup=microsoft.public.word .spellin
g.grammar&iPageNumber=1

Axonn -

The list of Microsoft newsgroups is on the Internet at
http://communities2.microsoft.com/co...s/default.aspx
You can drill down through the tree on the left side (I use EnglishUnited
StatesOfficeWord), you'll get a list of newsgroups.

What you're dealing with sounds like "Track Changes". It's usually found
under the Tools menu, and you want to turn off Highlight Changes. Try
looking it up in the Help files.

You can also go to Google, Groups, and search for "2003 track changes
group:*word*". Or get Ron deBruin's Google search add-in
(http://www.rondebruin.nl/Google.htm) - it makes this so easy!
