Default lost objects in Excel

I don't know Bill, I have not taken notice of that information. It happens
fairly frequently, but I cannot reproduce it at will, so I will have to wait
until it happens again and make note of that information.

Not heard of that before.
What do you see in the formula bar if you select the object after it has
been "forgotten"?
What is the setting in Tools / Options / View / Objects?
