In Excel 2000, I am creating a Web query that extracts data from a
specific table. In the New Web Query dialog box, I found a place to enter the "table name" or "table number". My question is, for a specific Web page, how do I find the table name or table number? I am unsure where to find in the HTML code or on the Web page itself. Here is the page I am looking at: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=aig Also, is there a way to only extract a specific data element (not entire table)? For example, the "P/E (ttm)" field near the top of the screen. Thanks for any ideas! Regards, Joel |
