Default Excel 2007 / MS Query - editing existing query to another sheet

This is an EXCEL2007 / MS Query question. When I have queried another sheet
in the same excel file, and I want to edit that query sometime later, I get
an error window "ODBC Excel Driver Login Failed" that reads "Cannot open
database '(unknown)'. It may not be a database that your application
recognizes, or the file may be corrupt."

What can I do to fix this issue?

It seems to refresh fine, but I cannot get into the query to make any
changes I want.

How about an example. Could a few of you try this and tell me if you can get
it to work. Maybe it is just the way I had Excel installed on my system. Any
help would be appreciated
Open a new Excel 2007 Document.
A) In Sheet 1, create a simple table with first row as headers such as:
Number Text
1 One
2 Two
3 Three
4 Four
B) Save and name the file somewhere such as C://JUNK/XL Sheet Query.xlsx
C) In Sheet 2, Query Sheet 1. Steps D thru I are the steps that I go thru.
D) Select [DATA tab]-[From Other Sources]-[From Microsoft
Query]-[Database TAB-choose ExcelFiles*]
E) Select Workbook window will popup.Find the file from above.select OK.
F) In the Query Wizard choose columns window, find Sheet1 and open the
+ and pull both columns into the Columns in your query pane and select
NEXT thru the next wizard windows until you get to the Import Data
window. (By selecting NEXT multiple times, you are just not filtering or
sorting in any way)
G) Select to import the data in Table format and in the existing worksheet
(Sheet2) and start it in cell A1 , Select OK.
H) The simple table you created in step A should be pulled into sheet 2 as a
query. Now suppose you wanted to edit this query and only pull in numbers
greater than 1. Normally I go to [DATA tab]-[Refresh All (down
arrow)]-[Connection Properties]- [Definition Tab]-[Edit Query].
I) This is where I can go no further due to the ODBC Excel Driver Login
Failed window that gives me an error of Unrecognized database format ..
OR from my original post "Cannot open database '(unknown)'. It may not be a
database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt."
I used to do this all the time in previous versions of Excel. I have built
many Query / Data processing spreadsheets that no longer work in Excel
2007.
What am I doing wrong? Mircosoft website states that all drivers for doing a
query from and to XL are installed.
Also, if you delete some of the data and refresh the existing query, the
refresh works.
Please help.
