You may have put your Excel files into the XLSTART directory,
which would cause them to open when Excel is opened. You would have the same situation if you included an alternate startup directory reference in your Tools, Options, general. This should not be confused with your personal.xls workbook which belongs in your XLSTART directory and it should be hidden in Excel under the Excel Window menu so that the macros can be used by other workbooks. --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "wwoody" wrote in message ...
