Question about Excel
I use Excel for basic features but its been sometime since I took a Excel
course which introcuded me to more advanced functions of Excel. My question Can I use Excel to track my books, or should I be using Quicken for this? you can use excel but you have to crerate your own programmes which may be customised but if you want tailor made programme software like quicken will be more approprate. Question about Excel
Of course Excel can be used to "track books", but you must set it up to do
that. And, like anything else, the more you "use" Excel, the better you get at it and the more things you can do with it..........most of the answers anybody needs about Excel can be found right here in these newsgroups.....keep coming back..... Thank you very much Vaya. When I took a Excel class I did all kinds of things with the application. Many of which I did not do when I worked at Y4C. But then again I was not the one in charge of accounting. And even they used Quickbooks or some other app (PeachTree). I am searching for uses of Excel at the moment. Perhaps you can help me. In school I used it to calculate my grades, but I have had little use of the powerful app since then. Question about Excel
There are those that cry "Horses for Courses", meaning one should only use
the Program that is specifically designed and optimized for a certain use. Frankly, I can't afford all those programs, and for sure would go nutz trying to learn and keep up with all of them, so my first impulse is to do whatever I have to do in Excel, and so far, all has worked out ok......once you actually "DO" something in Excel, then when you go to do something else, you can draw on the experience from before, etc etc........it snowballs............but for starters, and the greatest of help, keep coming back to these newsgroups and read, read, read.........you'll be amazed at what some folks are doing in Excel. hth Vaya con Dios, Chuck, CABGx3 "Bible John" wrote: -- 1 Pet 3:15-But sanctify the Lord God[a] in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear CERM-Church Education Resource Ministries Founder and director http://johnw.freeshell.org/bible "CLR" wrote in message ...
