I was using Excel and couldn't get the bottom bar to display--to change to
another worksheet--so I somehow INCREASED THE HEIGHT of this bar. (I later realized that my windows machine was acting up as I had put it in hibernate mode.) Anyway this changed the settings throughout my computer, including the width of up/down arrows (I can no longer see a value larger than 1 digit as the bar to the right is too large) and also default heading sizes from the internet--making some of the systems that I subsribe to UNUSABLE! Please please help me change this setting back. For example, the bar to the right which I am using right now to scroll the text up and down is much WIDER than it needs to be. I am using Microsoft Excel 2000 and Windows XP professional. Any suggestions--including knowing whether I need to reinstall completely--are much appreciated. Thanks so much--jojo |

To change the scroll bar, right click the desktop in windows, select
propertiesappearance, click advanced there you should be able to see scrollbar from the dropdown, change that to something less and use trial and error to find what you want. 16 or 17 should be a good size -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom (No private emails please) "jojo" wrote in message ...
