Default Exporting Crystal 9 to Excel 2002

I can export just fine from databases. But when I do, it's not very user
friendly.

I find that most of the information occupies more then one column. So when
I go to use a vlookup, for example, all I get are N/A's.

How do I merge the columns so when I ask for the info in column #17, it
gives that info!

Thanks for the help,
