Default Need to have a dropdown list or allow other entry?

Hi,
I'm working with Excel 2003 and I need a cell to have a dropdown list to
choose from and allow people to type something different. When I use the
data validation tool, it will only allow what's in my list. Any other method
to get a dropdown list and allow a different entry?

Thanks for all your hard work!

Select the cell, then select Data Validation. Set up the List-based
validation, then go to the Error Alert tab. Uncheck the box marked 'Show
error alert after invalid data is entered' OK.

Hope this helps,

Hutch
