[Posted this a few days ago but see no sign of it in my Agent
newsreader here, so reposting. Apologies if it turns up twice.] Could someone remind me how to stop (or temporarily override) this annoying feature in Excel 2000 please? I simply want to be able to copy text containing numbers, like a telephone number, down to the following row by dragging it. I don't want '0845 600 8885' to become '846 600 8885'. Or 'Call 0845 600 8885' to become 'Call 0845 600 8886'! -- Terry, East Grinstead, UK |

Hi,
Hold down the CTRL key as you drag the fill handle. Mike "Terry Pinnell" wrote: [Posted this a few days ago but see no sign of it in my Agent newsreader here, so reposting.
