Default unintended format changes Excel 2007

Files are saved with general number formatted cells. The file is closed and
reopened and the format is changed to date format.

Any word on a solution? We're experiencing the same issue. We have been
unsuccessful in determining the root cause because the issue doesn't occur
every time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

Any word of a solution or cause? I can't find anything about it but am
having the same issue.

Check out
http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...2fsettings.xml

I still don't know how this setting got changed, but I suspect that one of
my users is making this change without realizing the extent of it's effect.
