unintended format changes Excel 2007
 
Files are saved with general number formatted cells. The file is closed and
reopened and the format is changed to date format.

Any word on a solution? We're experiencing the same issue. We have been
unsuccessful in determining the root cause because the issue doesn't occur
every time.

Any help would be appreciated.

having the same issue.

I still don't know how this setting got changed, but I suspect that one of
my users is making this change without realizing the extent of it's effect.
