Default Why is the same file 17 MB in 2003 and only 2 MB in 2007?

Excel 2007 stores its files in XML format then compresses the files. If you
take an Excel 2007 file such as MyFile.xlsx and rename it MyFile.zip you can
open the file with any unzipper such as WinZip; you'll find several files
included in the compressed file.
