Default EXCEL-CHECK VISIBLE CELLS

I have Windows Professional 2003 installed last year. Even after clicking on
the box to show gridlines when printing, neither print review nor when
printing, there are no visible gridlines. A computer geek told me that it is
a problem with Windows XP. Help!

You'd better find a better-informed computer geek to advise you.

Do you have a coloured (even white) background pattern in the cell
formatting, as that will cover your gridlines? Set the pattern to No
Colo(u)r.
