How can I copy the folder with all the files under it still linking
correctly, can I change the name of the folder? Because the links look down
through the folders I can't just change the name and copy the folder because
then all the links do not work.
Will it be looking for the files from the original folder or from the copied
folder?
I have a folder with 6 files that are linked between them for 2007
financials of the Company. It is composed from different summary P&L
financial information and formula files with many sheets that are linked
between them and 2 raw data excel files that feed up the data. I need to copy
the folder while preserving all the links so I will have a copy of the 2007
files that I will be able to still change and all the links will work between
them in the copy folder. In the original file I will then erase all the data
and then start feeding it 2008 financials.

The short answer is no. The longer answer is about the same as the short one...
