Slow opening files

I've also confirmed that the google toolbar isn't installed and all network printers are connected (two things I noticed when searching on the problem). I have also ran a repair on Office to no avail. All other applications work fine. I can open a pdf from windows explorer or from the desktop and it opens within a second.
