Default Using vista home basics, need excell & word, can it work together

I don't know anything about pc's. Mine runs on vista home basics but i need
excell and word for my projects. If I buy them, can they work with vista or
do I need to do something else?

Yes, you can use tem. But why not use a trial version first so you can be confident?

I tried to register but system says as i don't live in the US, I can't
download the trial.

try www.openoffice.org it is real similar to excel

I have tried to use openoffice.org but will not allow me to edit excell
files..
