Are you saying that only the one workbook opens at first then later sometime you
get two duplicates come popping up? Do these workbooks have a filename like myworkbook.xls:1 and myworkbook.xls:2 etc.? In the latter case you have inadvertantly gone to WindowNew Window and created new windows of that workbook. Close the ones you don't want by hitting the "x" on the book title bar. When you get down to one copy only, save.
