Hi, I am using excel 2003 and I would like to protect the cells in the
sheets. When i protect the sheets i cant use the formula bar, ie - when i
click the fx button there is a pop up saying the cell is locked. I dont want
to change the formulas, just view the values etc inside them. Please can you
help!

Hi,

Provided the cell isn't hidden you can view the formula by simply selecting
the cell. If the formula doesn't appaear in the formula bar when you do this
then it's because it's hidden. Unprotect the worksheet and un-check the
hidden property of the cells you want to vieew and then re-protect.

But I'm afraid function wizard (fx button) will still be unavailable.
