Default Excel 2007 (Trial) Active X Problems

I have installed Excel 2007 (Trial) along side Excel 2003. In 2007 I have
tried to insert by navigating to: Developers tab; Insert; Active X Controls;
More Controls; highlighting "Microsoft Date And Time Picket Control",
inserted the control in a work sheet, closed design mode, verified the
control, saved and closed the worksheet. Upon re-opening the worksheet, where
the control was placed, all I have is a outlined rectangle with a RED X in
it. Other active X controls I have tried to insert, just don't function after
re-opening. No problems in Excel 2003. Can anyone advise?
