By Dynamic Chart, do you mean Pivot Chart? Pivot Charts are notorious about
removing any formatting when they are updated. You could make a regular chart from a pivot table's data. Select a blank cell that's not touching the pivot table, start the chart wizard, and in step 2 of the wizard, use the Series tab to define the series in the chart.
