Cant delete user defined default chart type
Under Chart Type, Custom Types. Select User defined option at bottom. Then,
select all the charts you want to remove and hit the delete key. Note that if you delete the "default" chart, original defaults are restored. -- Best Regards, Luke M *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you!* "jenalee" wrote: I have Excel 2003 I made a user defined default chart type and now every time i use excel the same chart comes up. Cant delete user defined default chart type
In the dialogue, after selecting "user defined" as the type of charts I want
to look at, I see two buttons. One for "add" to add current selected chart to the list, and "delete" to remove from list. Is your version of XL not displaying these? -- Best Regards, Luke M *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you!* "jenalee" wrote: Hi Luke, I selected the chart and hit delete key on the keyboard and it did not delete the default chart i made up. Cant delete user defined default chart type
Hmm, I was able to duplicate your problem when clicking the "create chart"
button from toolbar. Possible workaround: Create some type of dummy chart. (doesn't matter what it is, just need a chart). Right-click on chart, and go to Chart Type. Again, go to Custom Types, and then pick "user defined". The Add/Delete buttons should now appear! -- Best Regards, Luke M *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you!* "jenalee" wrote: No its not.
