Hmm. Okay, I assume you have four fields you're dealing with, Year, Month, Number, Dollars. For reference, lets start with a blank pivot chart. Drag both numbers and dollars into the middle of the chart. XL should have combined them into a single "Data" field, displayed at bottom. Drag month to the left of this Data, and then Year to the left of Month. Finally, move the Data field over to the series field area. Also of note, this is for 2003 and older. -- Best Regards, Luke M *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you!* "Max" wrote: On Dec 16, 5:34 pm, Luke M wrote: Might be easier to explain this working with the actual chart. Grab your data buttons and drag them to where it says "Drop Series fields here" You should now have 2 series instead of one. Change type of chart to line what you want, then double-click one of the series and change axis to secondary axis. -- Best Regards, Luke M *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you!* I must be missing something somewhere. My data is dollar amounts and number of deals. When I drag it to the "Drop Series Here" I get a list of all the dollar amounts (and numbers) listed there, and nothing on the chart.... Thank you. Wow! Thank you very very much! Somehow, doing it in that particular order gave me exactly what I needed!!! Thanks! |
