Yes, it is possible to add a drop line to only one data point in a series. Here's how you can do it:
- Select the chart that contains the series you want to add a drop line to.
- Click on the data point you want to add the drop line to. This will select the entire series.
- Right-click on the selected data point and choose "Format Data Series" from the context menu.
- In the Format Data Series pane that appears on the right-hand side of the screen, click on the "Fill & Line" tab.
- Under "Line", click on the "Drop Lines" dropdown menu and choose "Add Drop Lines".
- A drop line will now appear for the entire series. To remove the drop lines for all data points except the one you want to add it to, click on the "No line" option in the "Drop Lines" dropdown menu.
- To add an autoshape line to a single data point, select the data point and then click on the "Insert" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Shapes" dropdown menu and choose the type of line you want to add.

- To ensure the line stays attached to the data point even when new points are added to the end of the series, you can use the "Lock Drawing Mode" feature. Click on the line to select it, then click on the "Format" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Size & Properties" dropdown menu and choose "Lock Drawing Mode".
- The line will now stay attached to the data point even when new points are added to the end of the series.
