Default Drag datapoints in excel 2007 chart

In the older versions, you could drag plotted points on chart, which would
then update the source data either directly or through goalseek if the chart
was plotting a formula.

This was particularly useful for smoothing data to better suit a trendline.

With 2007 however, this facility seems to have been turned off. Is there a
way to turn it back on?

Default Drag datapoints in excel 2007 chart

This capability has been removed from Excel 2007. Other users have already
expressed their disappointment.
