Default share code violation

editing a shared worksheet using excel 2007 is getting error messages like
share code violation or un expected file lock by another user. when the
saving fails excel 2007 dumps a TMP file into the network share. Same users
are able to edit and save the files using excel 2003 in that folder. Users
having delete permission is not facing any issue for editing and saving file
in excel 2007.from net I could found that The problem is that Office 2007
need to delete the temp file before it can write the changes where as excel
2003 not need to delete, so that we have to give delete permission for users.
is there any way to solve this issue with out giving dletepermission to
users.
