Default cancel the "Getting Started" Dialogue Box when I open XL/Word

Every time I open Word and/or Excel, I get a dialogue box entitled "Getting
Started" This is very annoying and I would like to know how to permanently
get rid of it, or permanently stop it from popping up automatically. Thanks,
anyone, for your help.

2003 and earlier.
