Excel 2003
Hi,
If I understood properly, the issue is: when working with Excel 2003, you receive an error message "not enough system resources". Is that correct? Based on my research, such issue can be caused by various reasons. I have listed two most common situations that this error may occur for your reference: * Situation 1 ========= You run Microsoft Office Excel 2003 in a terminal services session in full-screen mode. You then click the Minimize button to minimize the terminal services session while Excel accomplishes a task, such as opening several workbooks or running a macro. When you try to reactivate (switch to) the terminal services session in which Excel is running, this error message appears. To work around this issue, use one of the following methods: # Method 1: Disconnect the terminal services session # Method 2: Change the terminal session window into a regular window For more detailed information about this situation, please refer to the following KB article: 916592 Error message when you try to reactivate (switch to) a terminal services session in which Excel is running: "Not enough system resources to display completely" http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;916592 * Situation 2 ========= If you fill or copy formulas into a large area of a worksheet, or you add formulas to a large worksheet, you may receive this error message. Each instance of Microsoft Excel is limited to 64 megabytes (MB) of memory (internal heap space). Each instance is also limited to 32,760 source cells when you perform a smart fill operation. When you copy or fill large sections of a worksheet, one or both of these limitations may affect the result. To work around the source cell limit, follow these steps: 1. Fill only the part of the range that you have to fill. 2. Select only the last row or last two rows of the filled range, and then fill farther down the sheet. 3. Repeat step 2 until you have filled the entire range that you have to fill. To work around the memory limit, break your work into smaller workbooks, and open them in separate instances of Excel. For more detailed information about this situation, please refer to the following KB article: 313275 "Not enough memory" error messages when you copy formulas over large area in Excel http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;313275 If all situations do not match yours, then please help us collect more information for further research and test: * Information Collection ================ 1. Please describe when this message appears. Or to say, what action have you performed to invoke this message? Or, it is displayed intermittently? 2. Have you applied all the latest updates for Office 2003? 3. Does this workbook cached on a network share or on your local folder? 4. Does this occur on another workbook? Please create a new one to test. 5. Does this occur on another user account? Please create a new one to test. 6. Please take a screenshot on the exact error message and send it to me. ** To take a screenshot --------------------- 1. When this error message appears, press PrScrn key on your keyboard. 2. Type "mspaint" (without the quotation marks) in StartRun box and click OK. 3. Click EditPaste to paste the screenshot. 4. Save it as JPEG file type and send it as Email attachment. --------------------- You can send the screenshot directly to the newsgroup, or you can send it to my e-mail address: Anything unclear, please do not hesitate to tell me.
