Default Row height & column width numbers..?

What measurement system do these numbers refer to, i.e. inches, cm,mm
that can be set in format?
Thanks.

Frank,

I believe that row height is in Points, like printed fonts in newspapers &
books with 72 points to the inch and column width is the number of 0's of 10
point fixed width font that will fit into a cell width. Leastways when I
set the column width to 10 I get 10 0's of Arial 10 point across a cell.

Row heights are measured in points or pixels. There are 72 points to an inch
and "maybe" 96 pixels to the inch.

The number that appears in the Standard column width box is the average number
of digits 0-9 of the standard font that fit in a cell.

If you want to use VBA to set height and width in mm....which you could
convert to inches.

Ole Erlandson has code for setting row and column dimensions.
